Setup Guide: Directory Settings

Instructions on how to configure the Corporate Directory. Publish all Client, Contact and Employee information to the directory or just subsections of each.

Audience

This document in designed for the person who will be administering the Integrated Business Applications software. This person should be proficient in the use of computers but will not require advanced technical knowledge.

Instructions and Screenshots

The Instructions and screenshots presented within this document are based on the version of Integrated Business Applications available when the document was published.

Directory Settings

The Directory Settings allow the System Administrator to:
  • enable and disable the Company Directory,
  • enable and disable the Client, Contact and Employee subsections of the Company Directory, and
  • enable and disable the display of Telephone Numbers, Web Addresses, Physical Addresses and Notes for each subsection of the Company Directory.
To access the Directory Settings click System Setup located on the Main Menu. Select Directory Settings from the setup options and then click the Proceed Button (See Figure 1).

Editing the Directory Settings Settings

To edit the Directory Settings, click the Edit Settings Link located on the Directory Settings Menu Bar (See Figure 2).

When the Directory Settings Screen opens, complete the available options (discussed below) and then click the Save Button to save the new settings (See Figure 3).

The following Directory Settings can be changed:
  • Directory
    • Status - Enables and disables the Directory.
  • Client Information
    • Status - Enables and disables the display of the Client Information Subsection.
    • Telephone Numbers - Enables and disables the display of Client Telephone Numbers under the Client Information Subsection.
    • Web Addresses - Enables and disables the display of Client Web Addresses under the Client Information Subsection.
    • Physical Addresses - Enables and disables the display of Client Physical Addresses under the Client Information Subsection.
    • Notes – Enabled and disables the display of Client Notes under the Client Information Subsection.
  • Contact Information
    • Status - Enables and disables the display of the Contact Information Subsection.
    • Telephone Numbers - Enables and disables the display of Contact Telephone Numbers under the Contact Information Subsection.
    • Web Addresses - Enables and disables the display of Contact Web Addresses under the Contact Information Subsection.
    • Physical Addresses - Enables and disables the display of Contact Physical Addresses under the Contact Information Subsection.
    • Notes – Enabled and disables the display of Contact Notes under the Contact Information Subsection.
  • Employee Information
    • Status - Enables and disables the display of the Employee Information Subsection.
    • Telephone Numbers - Enables and disables the display of Employee Telephone Numbers under the Employee Information Subsection.
    • Web Addresses - Enables and disables the display of Employee Web Addresses under the Employee Information Subsection.
    • Physical Addresses - Enables and disables the display of Employee Physical Addresses under the Employee Information Subsection.
    • Notes – Enabled and disables the display of Employee Notes under the Employee Information Subsection.
